MUMBAI, December 4: Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar chose his own backyard to post his best performance in the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka today. Besides, he also rewrote the fourth wicket record alongwith Saurav Ganguly. Both played glowing tributes to each other, terming their association as "enjoyable". "We rotated the strike well and did not allow the bowlers to settle," said Tendulkar later in the day.He also expressed his contentment on overcoming his lean patch in the series. "I am happy about it and hope to carry on in the same way so that the commitment does not die out." The struggle that he underwent during his stay yesterday was also stressed upon. "My feet weren't moving well yesterday," he confessed. "But I decided to play the new ball out this morning and play my shots freely. In fact, I asked Saurav to crack a joke since it had been a long time since I heard one.""I don't mind batting even at number eleven if the team requires it," was Tendulkar's repartee on the talk doing round that he has been asked by the selectors to bat lower in the order for the one-dayers. "We haven't discussed it yet," he added.Replying to queries on the 4000-mark, he said, "Records are meant to be broken but I don't aim for it."
