NEW DELHI, September 23: Salwan Boys School (Rajender Nagar) claimedthe Pepsi Youth Cricket Series beating Hansraj Model School (Punjabi Bagh) by five wickets in the final.

Replying to Hansraj’s 133, Salwan Boys reached 134 for five in 36.5 overs. National selector Madan Lal gave away the trophy to the winning team and special individual prizes to outstanding players of the tournament.

Brief scores: Hansraj Model School: 133 all out in 39.3 overs (Abhishek Sharma 33, Abhinav Bali 19, Chetan Sharma 2 for 16, Rajesh Kumar 2 for 27). Salwan Boys: 134 for 5 in 36.5 overs (Gaurav Bhardwaj 28, Gautam Trehan 1 for 8, Abhinav Bali 1 for 34).
Man of the match: Manoj Kumar (Salwan Boys). Man of the series: Abhinav Bali (Hansraj). Best batsman: Sunil Maurya (Govt Boys, Vikaspuri). Best bowler: Rajesh Kumar (Salwan Boys).
