Your Musafir co-star Anil Kapoor thinks you are the next Madhuri.
(Laughs) Anil is fabulous to work with, while Madhuri is the epitome of everything. It’s overwhelming to be compared to her but it also feels nice to be close to her on some level.

The whole world’s talking about your hot smooch with Anil.
We worked so hard for the film’s promo and everybody only wants to talk about the kiss. Hindi cinema is breaking rules but still a kiss gets talked about. But it won’t stick out like a sore thumb because it’s been shot in a very classy manner.

Were you apprehensive about kissing in front of the camera?
I knew how it would be shot, so I wasn’t.

You’ve changed your look for the movie.
I’ve got an international look. My natural, clear look for Musafir stands out because these days everybody is doing the bronze look.

I did that ages ago in Darna Mana Hai and wanted to look more sensual and subtle rather than in-your-face.

Is it true that Sanjay Dutt was so impressed with your work in Musafir that he gifted you a huge TV?
Sanju has been really sweet. He is always there to take care of me. He knows I’ve put my life, heart and soul in Musafir. And he knows I love anything electronic. So he gifted me a certain Philips TV with a huge screen that I wanted.

You have replaced Priyanka Chopra in Benaam. We also heard all was not well between you two during Plan.
I have nothing to say about it. Benaam’s producers called me, I liked the script, so I am doing the film. As for Priyanka, I would like to believe there is no bad blood between us. But I don’t know her well on a personal level.

Why have you become inaccessible?I believe in self-preservation. In this industry, if you don’t keep your sanity intact, then you will lose it. There’s too much pressure and you can’t take it all the time.

But the perks are great, so no complaints.
