LUDHIANA, Nov 25: Water from the Golden Temple Sarovar, which is at the moment discharged into the city drains, will be used to recharge the falling ground water level in Amritsar.

The proposal by the Central Ground Water Authority envisages using water from the emple Sarovar and the Kaulsar Sahib Sarovar which are inter-linked. In addition, the water used to wash the Parikarma area and the overflow of water from the roof and the pavement will be utilised, according to D K Chadha, chairman, CGWA.
