CHENNAI, MARCH 21: K V Mahadevan, one of the accused in the auditor Rajasekaran assault case against former Chief Minister J Jayalalitha among others, was brought to Chennai on Sunday and remanded to custody by Saidapet holiday magistrate Hemavathy. Mahadevan was arrested from a hotel in Tiruppur near Coimbatore on Saturday. The police have also seized a revolver from his house in Thanjavur.

Mahadevan told the media,"This is a false case, no such incident occurred. I will reveal everything in the court." Clad in a white shirt and dhoti, a visibly tired Mahadevan was brought to the Saidapet police station around 6.30 pm. Senior AIADMK leaders arrived at the spot and demanded that they be allowed inside the room of the Saidapet AC, Sakthivel. The police, however, did not allow them inside stating that Mahadevan’s statement was being recorded.
