PUNE, July 17: State Health Minister and the Pro-Chancellor of the newly formed University of Health Sciences, Dr Daulatrao Aher today said the Supreme Court decision is awaited on the common entrance examination for admission to the first year MBBS and BDS courses in the state. The full bench of the SC will meet on July 24, and only after that the State government can decide on the further course of action. While the State government has moved the SC to review the decision on conducting an entrance test for admission to the MBBS/BDS degree courses, Aher told media persons on Friday, that he could not comment on the date of the entrance test as the state is awaiting the SC decision on July 24.
Preparations for conducting the entrance test have been made with eligibility lists of students being displayed. However students are still in the dark whether they would obtain admission on the basis of their HSC marks or they would have to prepare yet again for a common entrance examination.
