The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice to the CBI on an interim bail plea of Amit Jogi, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, allegedly involved in the criminal conspiracy and financing the murder of NCP leader Ram Avtar Jaggi.

A bench comprising Justices Arijit Pasayat and SH Kapadia fixed Monday for hearing the petition in which Amit sought bail to attend his father who was hospitalised following a heart attack.

Amit was arrested on

July 1 by the CBI, two years after the murder of Jaggi, who was treasurer of NCP in Chhattisgarh. — PTI
