The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to grant bail to Independent MLA from Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Kumar Singh, who is facing trial in a murder case.
However, the Bench — presided by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan — granted him the liberty to approach the Sessions court seeking bail, in case the trial in the case was not completed within three months.
