A review team is set to visit Bangladesh to take stock of the security measures that need to be put in place for the Men in Blue who tour the country in May.
The team, which will have representatives from the RAW and the IB, is likely to leave sometime next week to assess the security scnenario in Bangladesh, which is in the midst of political turmoil.
Official sources, however, maintained the visit was part of the drill that is followed whenever the cricket team travels to a neighbouring country. The specific security measures that need to be taken will be decided only after the team returns.
A similar exercise was done before the World Cup in the West Indies. Subsequently, India sent a 16-member team of the NSG’s bomb disposal squad in addition to the customary security liaison officers who accompanied the players.
