AURANGABAD, Dec 14: In the wake of a war of sorts developing between the Election Commissioners over summoning Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, youth wing leader of the party, Raj Thackeray, today categorically said the decision regarding the party’s organisational elections will be conveyed to Chief Election Commissioner M S Gill on December 24. Thackeray was replying to the Election Commission’s communication to the Sena leaders on the issue of holding the organisational polls at a press conference here.

He said there was no arrangement of organisational polls in the party’s constitution as the Sena supremo Bal Thackeray was the head of the party.

Regarding the Congressmen willing to join the Sena, the youth leader said such persons would be admitted in the party but would not be given any post in the organisation.

Thackeray said though, the elections to the Lok Sabha were not declared, the election campaign would be launched from Aurangabad on December 26 and the first campaign meeting would be addressed by him. Replying to a question, he admitted that there were some internal squabbles in the Shiv Sena, but in comparison to other political parties they were not not so serious. The sitting MPs would be given tickets to contest the forthcoming elections and seats would be adjusted with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the remaining places in Maharashtra, he said.
