Sevilla defend UEFA Cup

Sevilla have earned their place in European football’s hall of fame by becoming the first side since Real Madrid in 1986 to notch up back-to-back victories in the UEFA Cup.

Sevilla have earned their place in European football’s hall of fame by becoming the first side since Real Madrid in 1986 to notch up back-to-back victories in the UEFA Cup. Their dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over fellow Primera Liga side Espanyol in a pulsating game at Hampden Park also confirmed that they are now the most complete footballing outfit in Spain.

With their irresistible brand of attacking football, Sevilla have consistently outshone Real and Barcelona over the course of this season and with victory in the UEFA Cup, they remain on course for a historic treble.
