Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri’s relatives were at the Bandra police station on Tuesday night, registering a complaint of theft.
According to the report filed by Gauri’s cousin Niru Tiwari (50), a resident of New Delhi, diamond jewellery and cash totalling Rs 4.65 lakh went missing from the actor’s Land’s End residence, Mannat. Also missing were Tiwari’s digital camera and two credit cards.
The theft was discovered on Tuesday morning. According to the Khans, this is not the first such incident.
The Bandra police has recorded the statements of Shahrukh Khans’ 15-strong domestic staff.
‘‘We believe this is the work of an insider because the bungalow is under round-the-clock private surveillance,’’ said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 9) Amitabh Gutpa.
