MUMBAI, Jan 29: Shardashram Marathi scored a comfortable six-wicket victory over Shardashram English to enter the final of the Giles Shield Inter-School Cricket tournament at Azad Maidan here today. In the final scheduled for February 2, Marathi will meet IES VN Sule Guruji who scored a nine-wicket victory over Rajhans yesterday.Marathi's convincing victory was set up by their bowlers Vikram Chichulkar and Dinar Gaonkar who bagged four and five wickets respectively. Later two-drop batsman Sunil Lingayat scored an unbeaten 71 as they completed victory in 62.2 overs.English were given a good start by Ritesh Chavan (25) and Chintan Shah (22) who raised 55 for the opening wicket. After the fall of three quick wickets, Girish Vaswani (36) and Vikrant Yeligeti (20) added 40 runs for the fourth wicket. Chichulkar got the break-through, castling Vikrant. Then the English batsmen could not sew any substantial partnership and were reeling at nine for 148.
