In a decision which could have wide ramifications, Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has given the green signal for the construction of the controversial Tardeo twin towers. Shinde has lifted the stay on the construction of the country’s tallest building, which has 60 storeys,as well as 44 other high-rises being built as part of the state government’s Slum Rehabilitation Scheme.
