MORADABAD, February 20: A shoot-at-sight order was issued and para-military forces and police today staged a flag march in Sambhal, from where Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting the February 22 Lok Sabha poll, to check possible outbreak of violence.The constituency, where the Defence Minister is pitted against his former close associate D P Yadav of Jantantrik BSP, has been declared as "super sensitive" in view of reports of tension that fuelled fears of clashes between rival political groups.The authorities instructed the police to shoot-at-sight any person found disrupting the poll process, the district magistrate said.Sambhal's border with Bulandshahr and Budaun districts have been sealed and four companies of para-military forces deployed to ensure peaceful polling in the constituency where 65 polling centres had been identified as hyper-sensitive and 58 as sensitive, he said.Samajwadi Party legislator from Allahabad west, Atik Ahmad, was prevented by the authorities fromentering the constituency last night. His entry has been banned till March 15, the magistrate said.The region has been split into five zones and 35 sectors each has a magistrate and police officer. The chief development officer has been posted there as super zonal magistrate.Out of total six companies of PAC and para-military forces available for three segments, four companies have been deployed for looking after polling stations and polling, one is being used for sealing Sambhal's borders with Bulandshahr and Budaun districts and one kept in reserve, he said.
