CHENNAI, July 9: A bus (18G) belonging to the metro transport corporation suddenly caught fire while plying on the busy Anna Salai, here. The fire, believed to be caused by a battery leakage leading to short circuit, was put out immediately by water from a passing water tanker, which was stopped by Thomas, an Additional Commissioner of Police who also happened to pass by. Three woman sustained injuries and the total damage is estimated at Rs 500, accordint to a report in The Indian Express.
