Dharamvir Beniwal’s unbeaten 96 could not save Rajdhani Club who lost to Collage Group by nine runs in the Sandeep Suri Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Satyawati College ground.

Rajdhani Club: 188 in 38.1 overs (Dharamvir Beniwal 96 n.o, Pankaj Malik 30, Inderjit 23, Sanjay Gill 2 for 26, Davender 2 for 30, Mohit 3 for 30).

Bhakra Beas in semis

Bhakra Beas Management Board will meet Tehri Hydro Development Corporation and Naptha Jhakri Power Corporation will take on Power Grid Corporation in the the semi-final matches of the Inter-Power Sector Volleyball Tournament at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium here tomorrow.

Bhakra Beas maintained their winning spree beating Power Grid Corporation of India 15-3, 15-2 here on Tuesday. Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation won both the matches by beating National Thermal Power Corporation 15-4, 15-11 andTehri Hydro Development Corporation 15-12, 14-16, 15-6. THDC won their second match by beating PFC 15-0-15-6.

The hosts NHPC team registered their first victory by beating Central Electricity Authority 15-4, 15-13. Earlier in the day, NTPC beat Power Finance Corporation 15-1, 15-1.

The matches for the third and fourth place will be played tomorrow.

AAI beat ICICI

Airport Authority of India beat Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India by 33 runs in the IFCI Cup.

AAI: 142 (Rajeev Gupta 44, V.S.Chauhan 26, Amit 1 for 22);ICICI: 109 (Sanjeev 41, Rajeev Kumaraswamy 10, Mahesh 3 for 11). Rajeev Gupta was named man of the match.

In another match, National Thermal Power Corporation defeated Indo-Burma Petroleum by four wickets.

PSB tourney from Jan 14

The 9th PSB All India Inter-Circle Cricket Tournament, organised by Punjab & Sind Bank, will be held at the Karnail Singh Stadium and Siri Fort ground from January 14 to 17. Six teams representing Amritsar, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Calcutta and Head Office will be participating in the tournament to be inaugurated by S.S.Kohli, chairman and Managing Director, PSB at the Karnail Singh Stadium on January 14.

Upras topple Moti Bagh

Upras Public School upset last year’s champion Moti Bagh No 1 by two goals to one to enter the semi-final of the Polio Unmuloon Inter-School Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here today. Osman and Ravi scored for Upras while Yugal reduced the margin for Moti Bagh.

In another match, Trilok Puri beat Raisina Bengali School, Chittaranjan Park 3-0 to make the last four berth. Atul, Kamal and Nand Kishore scored the goals. The other two teams who have qualified for the semi-finals are: Anglo Arabic School and Modern School, Noida.
