Maharashtra State school gymnastics from Oct 26

Nearly 350 Gymnasts in the age group of under-14, under-17 and under-19 would be seen in action at the State level School Gymnastics Competition to be held at the Shahaji Raje Bhonsale Krida Sankul (Andheri Sports Complex) from October 26 to 31.

The competition, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare of the Maharashtra Government, would have participants from Mumbai, Nasik, Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur divisions.

Boys U-14: Gaurav Ratnaparkhi, Tushar Suvarna, Swapnil Chavan (all Mulund Gymkhana), Akhil Kabra, AMeya Nachankar (Samartha Vyayam Mandir), Shashank Wagh (Pawanputra Vyayam mandir)

Girls U-12: Priyanka Suratkar, Sidhi Sawant (both Samartha Vyayam Mandir), Vandita Rawal, Rama Kale (both Lokmanya Seva Sangh), Harshada Apte (Mulund Gym)

AITA Jr national ranking tourney

The All-India Tennis Association Junior Circuit national ranking tournament will beheld from October 26 to October 31 at Practennis, Andheri. Birla Mutual Fund will sponsor the event.

There have been around 300 entries for this tournament out of which 32 players would make the main draw in each of the groups. The break-up of the groups is boys’ and girls’ under-16, under-14, under-12 and under-10. The under-14 and under-16 events will be national ranking events while, the under-10 and under-12 events will be state ranking events. Mulund Gymkhana’s chess coaching

Mulund Gymkhana will conduct a new batch of chess coaching from November 1 at their premises, Navghar Road (near highway), Mulund (East), Mumbai 400 081.
