CCI snooker for ladies

The top 14 women snooker players of the country will participate in the CCI ladies invitation snooker tournament here from September 27 to October 3. The tourney will carry a total prize money of Rs 29,500, the winner entitled to Rs 12,000. National champion Farah khan of Karnataka is the top seed.

Judy Walia (Bangalore), Varsha Mazmudar (Singapore), Pooja Galundia (Rajasthan), Ashwini Puranik (Indore), Usha Khandelwal (Pune), Renu Bharkatiya (Indore) and local players Neeta Sanghvi, Heena Khandelwal, Sangita Hemchand, Anuja Thakur, Mina Bairagi and Jagruti Patel will be seen in action.

YMCA course

The Institute of Advanced Aquatic Training & Pool Management run by Bombay YMCA, CBD Belapur branch, will conduct the YMCA Hydrotherapy instructors training certificate course from September 24-26. Hydrotherapy offers a gentle workout designed for the elderly, those recovering from injury, the arthritic and people with other chronic ailments.
