Millennium Cup footballEight top football teams of the city will participate in the Air-India Millennium Cup football tournament, from December 1-15 at Air-India Colony, Kalina.The eight teams are divided into two groups. Hosts Air-India will field two teams Red and White. Air-India (red), Union Bank, Central Bank and Customs are in Group A while BMFC, Bank of India, Central Railway and Air-India (white) in Group B.A women's tournament will be held simultaneously. Six teams are divided into two groups with Group A comprising of Ecstasy, Khalsa Gymkhana and Mary's SC. Group B has Fr. Agnel, Ace Ventures and Remedy Lourdes.Carrom selectionMaharashtra Carrom Association will conduct selection trials for boys and girls U-18 on Dec 5 from 9 am at Worli Sports Club, Prabhadevi.Entries can be sent through respective district secretaries by Dec 3, 9 pm to: JV Sangam, Worli Sports Club, Adarsh Nagar.Tel: 432 7831.
