Kiwis defy Indian bowlers to crawl
Despite a good start, India failed to capitalise on the momentum as an overtly defensive New Zealand finished the third day of the third Test at 211 for six. Dull could be the only adjective capable of putting it all in perspective. Dig in, and dig out any threat, that is — must have been the Kiwi motto on a sun-bathed Sunday at the Motera Stadium.

Jyoti wins
Jyoti Randhawa called it just another putt and just another day in the office. Ultimately that’s what it probably is for a professional golfer, but in their heart of hearts, every golfer knows the enormous difference there is between a first and second place. And it is not just money. Sammy Daniel’s missed birdie putt on the 18th not only cost him a chance to go into a play-off with Randhawa.
