Pak batsmen disappoint again
Steve waugh’s confidence in his Australian bowlers yielded dividends as Pakistan were dismissed for 222 on the opening day of the second cricket Test today. Just like he did in the Brisbane Test, the Australian skipper backed his bowlers in sending Pakistan into bat and was rewarded when the tourists crumbled to be all out off 72.5 overs, some 40 minutes after tea.

India win
India began their title hunt in the Asia Cup hockey championship in an unimpressive manner, defeating lowly Japan 3-1 after struggling to come to terms with the feeble opposition today. The reigning Asian Games gold medallists failed to sparkle in their quest for a maiden title before Dilip Tirkey, Gagan Ajit Singh and Dinesh Nayak struck to enable India claim full points from the inaugural Group A league tie at the Bukit Jalil Stadium.
