St Xavier’s triumph
St Xavier’s, Manav Sthali and Bhatnagar International scored identical 3-0 win over their respective opponents in the senior boys section of CBSE table tennis tournament at Guru Teg bahadur 3rd Centenary Public School. In the junior boys section, Jaspal Kaur defeated Manav Sthali 3-2.

Ishani softball tourney
Presentation Convent `A’ and Queen Mary’s School will meet in the final of the second Ishani Makkar memoral inter-school softball tournament. In the semifinals, Presentation Convent `A’ beat their `B’ team 25-11 while Queen Mary’s defeated Mater Dei Convent `A’ 21-1. Open trials to select Delhi’s men and women teams for participation in senior softball nationals (Hyderabad) will be held at 3 pm on Saturday at DAV Public School, Ashok Vihar. MK Singh felicitated
Dr (Mrs) MK Singh, Reader, Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Univ of Delhi, was honoured Woman of the Year award by the International Board of Research of the American Biographical Institute, North Cardina, USA for her contribution in the field of physical education.

CBSE volleyball
Shiksha Bharti and Gagan Bharti entered the boys final of CBSE volleyball tournament at Bal Bharati Public School. In the semifinals, Shiksha Bharti beat VV DAV (Vikaspuri) 15-6, 15-4, 15-8 while Gagan Bharti downed New Era 15-8, 15-12, 15-6. The boys final will be played between Gyan Bharti and Andhra Education School.
