A brilliant 62 by Gaurav Sharma and 60 runs by Maninder Singh helped Bristol Club defeat Konark Cricket Club by one wicket in the First Bristol under-16 Cricket Tournament. A fine all-round performance by Hari (60 and 3 for 12) of Konark was of no avail.

Brief Scores: Konark: 160 for 7 in 30 overs (Hari 60, Jaydeep 30, Gaurav Sharma 3 for 35, Giri Dhar 3 for 11 Maninder Singh 2 for 10) lost to Bristol 161 for 9 in 28.1 overs (Gaurav Sharma 62, Maninder Singh 60 not out, Hari 3 for 12, Navdeep 2 for 21).

Nath shines
Keshav Puram Club beat Uttarakand Club by 33 runs in the President’s Estate Challenge Cup League at the President’s Body Guard ground. Keshav Puram won the toss and elected to bat first. Shailender Nath scored an unbeaten 34 and took 3 for 12. Kirpal Singh made 72 runs. In reply, Uttrakand made 105 with Ramesh being the top scorer with unbeaten 24.
