Former Union minister V.C. Shukla is back at the Congress doorstep, lobbying for a re-entry.
Shukla has met with former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi, with whom a clash of ambitions led him first to the NCP and then to the BJP.
The hazardous journey, however, failed to pay off — he lost the Mahasammund seat to Jogi while contesting on a BJP ticket.
Shukla, who has deserted the Congress four times in the past, has also met AICC treasurer Motilal Vora twice. Vora incidentally heads the Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress.
The former Union minister is currently awaiting a green signal from 10 Janpath.
