Stray incidents of violence were reported from Lohardaga, Godda and Rajmahal. An assistant sub-inspector and polling official were killed in a landmine blast near a booth at Banatala under Lohardaga parliamentary seat. A member of CPI’s Godda district committee was stabbed, while unknown gunmen fired in the air at Parsaigaon. Police lathicharged clashing BJP and JMM supporters at Sahebganj under Rajmahal constituency.
