Sinha to be Jt Secy Finance

CHANDIGARH, Feb 18: The Punjab Government in an order issued today, placed the services of K.A.P. Sinha, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Muktsar, at the disposal of Chandigarh Administration for appointment as UT Joint Secretary, Finance, for a period of two years with immediate effect.

Sinha’s appointment has reportedly been cleared by the Centre for deputation with the Chandigarh Administration. The post was lying vacant for about ten months, after the former JSF Sanjay Kumar was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Mansa by the Punjab Government.

PGI OPD to remain closed tomorrow
The Medical Superintendent of Nehru Hospital, PGI, has directed the hospital’s Out-Patient Departments to remain closed on Saturday on account of the possible 48-hour strike of PGI doctors.
