Speaker Somnath Chatterjee is keeping everyone on tenterhooks, including some ex-comrades who share the same plight as him having been excommunicated from the party. These ex-comrades, belonging to both Kerala and West Bengal, have been trying to rope in Chatterjee to their anti-CPI(M) bandwagon since his expulsion from the party. They think that Chatterjee would bring in more life and media attention to their sagging political careers.
