Security cover of Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been heightened since the serial blasts in Jaipur with the media kept at arm’s length during her inspection tour of NREGS implementation in her home constituency.

Gandhi was expected to interact with the people when she arrived here last night to assess the National Rural Guarantee Scheme implementation in her Lok Sabha constituency at ground level, but security personnel did not allow anyone near her.

The Special Protection Group and police had a tough time controlling the crowd as she reached Shora gram panchayat in Gangapur to inspect a pond with journalists and villagers breaking the security cordon.
