CHANDIGARH, Jan 25: The new building of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Sector 38 would be ready by March this year. It would be inaugurated by the Director General of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, during his visit to the City on March 10.

This was informed by the local SPCA president Jasbir Ralhan, in a meeting of its executive, chaired by the Adviser to UT Administrator, Jagdish Sagar.

Ralhan also informed about the affiliation of the local SPCA with the Animal Board of India, Chennai, the Royal SPCA, UK and the World Society for Animals, UK, which was hailed by the members.
