CHANDIGARH, July 22: A Class IX boy from a school in Sector 20, who had allegedly stabbed his class mate, yesterday afternoon, has been reportedly expelled from school.

Savitri Deswal, Principal of the Gyandeep Model High School, Sector 20, where the alleged incident occured said that the boy had been expelled from the school.

The boy had allegedly stabbed his classmate Bimal in the hand following a minor altercation. Bimal was taken to the GMC Hospital in Sector 32.

Interestingly enough, he had been expelled about a month ago “because he was a quarrelsome pupil,” Deswal said. She added that he had been allowed to attend school only last week after his parents had requested that he be taken back.However, Deswal denied that Bimal had been stabbed. “He fell down against a bench and hurt his hand,” she claimed.

The local police said that the two parties had reached a compromise before they made a formal complaint at the police station.
