MUMBAI, March 29: The winner of Indian Derby, Star Supreme who was saddled by trainer Dallas Todywalla, ran in the colours of Dr MAM Ramaswamy under jockey M Narredu won the McDowell Indian St Leger, the last Classic of the current season run on Sunday at Mahalakshmi. He bettered the record to finish in 2:54.9 seconds.

Astana who was nowhere for most of the journey of 2,800 m flew in the last part and deprived Ace Academy of the second berth.
