The Government is still making up its mind about Indian High Commissioner in London Kamlesh Sharma’s nomination as India’s candidate for the Commonwealth Secretary-General’s post, but did you know it was Britain that first hinted at another candidate, former Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, to New Delhi?
