Michal Vaughan will miss England’s first Test against the West Indies starting at Lord’s on Thursday after failing to recover in time from a broken finger.Fellow top-order batsman Andrew Strauss was appointed temporary captain when the squad was announced here today. Sussex wicket-keeper Matt Prior is set to make his Test debut after being included in a 12-man squad. England hope to have Vaughan back in the team for the second Test wich starts at his Headingley home ground on May 25.
