Students sing to create awareness

CHANDIGARH, Aug 20: A group song competition for school students was organised by Population Education Cell of State Institute of Education at GMSSSS-23.. "Badhti Aabaadi hai barbaadi" and other such themes on population education were the subject of the songs.

In the model category, Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22 bagged the first prize, GMSSS-23 won the second prize. The students of GMHS-36 and GMSSS, Sector 20-D won consolation prizes. Government High School, Sector 41 won the first prize in the urban category. The consolation prize was bagged by GSSS-Sector 47. Government Girls High School, Sector 25 bagged the first prize in the rural category. The consolation prizes went to GHS, Khuda Alisher and GHS, Manimajra.
