Sunaina asks for ‘B’ sample test

Weightlifter Sunaina, who met federation officials here today, has requested for her ‘B’ sample to be tested. But the federation secretary, Balbir Singh Bhatia, has asked her to take a couple of days time before pressing for the ‘B’ sample test. ‘‘I have asked her to take two-three days to think about whether she really wants to go for the second test,’’ said Bhatia.
The 24-year-old lifter, considered a bright medal prospect for Athens, returned a positive dope test and faces a two-year ban. She has also been stripped of the two bronze medals she won at the Asian meet in Almaty last month. — (ENS)
