Krishnapal Singh dead
Bhopal: Former Governor of Gujarat and senior Congress leader Krishnapal Singh died early on Monday at his residence in Civil Lines here following a massive heart attack. He was 78. Family sources said Singh suffered a heart attack at 5.45 am. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.

No commitment’
Surat: While the Standing Committee adopted a resolution saying that suspended Health Officer Dr Sinha would have to be reinstated if the ongoing enquiry against him is not completed within two months, Municipal Commissioner G Mohapatra clarified that he had made no commitment to the Standing Committee to reinstate Sinha. Mohapatra said that he would make up his mind after the committee submits it report.

The Home Department of the State government has appointed Dangs’ DySp S U Jadeja as Dangs District Information Officer. In a statement issued by Dangs’ Information Department, the unprecedented step had been taken to help people of the tribal district to get rid of the fear of “Khaki Uniform”.
