Kidnapped
A person of the city was kidnapped by four people and detained for four days, during which he was beaten up, before he was left on Wednesday, a case registered in the Salabatpura police station stated. One Avdhoshkumar Oza, residing at Gitanagar slum in Navagam near Udhna, complained to the Salabatpura police on Wednesday morning that he was abducted Sipahilal Pandit, Ramudada Pandit, Ram and Bhawan Pande alias Bullu, from the textile market area on Friday night, because he owed Rs 30,000 to them. Oza also told the police that he was beaten up with sticks and belts before being freed. The Salabatpura police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the accused.

Cheating
A man duped his employee of Rs 1 lakh in cash and is absconding, the Mahidharpura police said. Moraribhai Sharma, a businessman of the city, lodged a police complaint on Wednesday stating that he gave one of his employees Adarsh Shrivastav Rs one lakh to be sent by courier. Shrivastava did not deposit the money and is absconding since, he said. A case under IPC 420 and 406 has been registered at the police station and is being investigated.

Theft
One Santoshkumar Soni, a resident of Jain Park Apartments at Adajan, complained to the police that his neighbour’s house was burgled on Tuesday night. The Rander police have stationed a constable at the premises and are attempting to establish contact with the owner of the house, who is out of station. A case under IPC 457 and 380 has been registered at the police station and is being investigated.
