CHANDIGARH, April 27: The adimission forms for two swimming pools in Sector 23 will be available with the coaches at the pools. According to a spokesman of the UT Sports Department, forms at Nursery Swimming Pool will be available on Monday and Thursday and on Tuesday and Friday at Yoga Swimming Pool between 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
However, the Government College, Sector 11 pool is hanging fire. The pool was undertaken by the Sports Department to enable the budding swimmers of the area to avail the facilities. Though, a coach has been posted there, but it lack other facilities, like life guard and proper changing rooms for swimmers.
Meanwhile, the Sports Department is thinking on terms of posting the coach to Punjab Engineering College (PEC), in a few days time, if the college authorities are unable to provide the basic facilities. “In another couple of days, if the college cannot depute a life guard, we might have to shift the coach to other venue, said JPS Sidhu, Joint Director Sports.
