MANSA, Oct 1: Indian government’s talks with the foreign nations are useless until the firing in Jammu and Kashmir stops, ISI ceases its activities of spreading militancy in India, Pakistan surrenders terrorists to India, besides ensuring not to carry such activities in future.

This was stated by former Indian Youth Congress president Maninderjit Singh Bitta while talking to media persons at Bhikhi, about 18 km from here, yesterday.

He demanded that all political parties be taken into confidence before initiating discussions with Pakistan, England, USA, Germany and Canada were also behind the terrorism in the country. These are the countries which promote such activities, the Prime Minster should ensure solution of basic issues before discussions, he added.

Bitta urged all the political parties to be united for a collective fight against terrorism. He said that the issue was not of one state or a country but that of the whole world. He pleaded that the terrorists should be sentenced to death.

Regarding Akali leader Simarnjit Singh Mann’s statement that his party would oppose Sonia Gandhi’s visit to Golden Tmeple, Bitta said that no one had authority to obstruct her visit as everyone had equal right to visit Golden Temple which was a religious place, common for all. He challenged Mann to gherao Sonia on her visit.

Calling Mann an agent of militant organisation, Bitta stated that Mann seemed keen to revive terrorism in Punjab. Bitta reminded Mann that he had unfurled the national flag despite Mann’s challenge to do so during peak militancy in state. District Congress Committee chief Ram Paul Dhaipi and municipal councillor Balwinder Singh kaka were also present.
