MUMBAI, February 23: Suspended Police Sub Inspector M Y Kadam today disclosed before the Gundewar Commission that the rear portion of one of the two tankers located near the burning luxury bus had also caught fire.

On the eighth day of his cross-examination, Kadam replying to Congress counsel B A Desai’s query said, the rampaging mob were throwing fire balls and burnt tyre pieces at the tanker. However, the metal sheet of the rear portion of the bus parked close-by caught fire, Kadam said, adding that the tanker fire was a very minor one.
