Tara Iyer made a first round exit from the $25,000 ITF women’s singles event in Gympie, Australia after losing the tie in straight sets against local hope Monique Adamczak. Tara had managed to put up a fight after giving in the first set easily but the fourth seed Monique prevailed in the second set tie-breaker to seal the Indian’s fate with a score of 6-1, 7-6(5) at the hard court event.
