Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen tonight said she has been told by government officials that she will not be allowed to return to Kolkata for now.
Speaking to PTI from an undisclosed destination, Taslima said she had told government officials that “I am not a criminal that I will not be allowed to return to Kolkata”.
Hinting that her movements at her place of stay were restricted, she said “I want to lead a normal life again.”
“I told the government officials that I be allowed to lead a normal life at least in Delhi,” she said. “I am waiting how quickly I can lead a normal life again”, said the writer who was hounded out of Kolkata following violent protests here against her allegedly anti-Islamic writings by a little known minority group which demanded that her visa to stay in India be cancelled
