Chandigarh, March 24: Scores of teachers working in the universities and colleges of Punjab and Chandigarh gathered at the MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36 to hold a rally and observe education bandh to protest against what they termed “inordinate delay by the Punjab government in releasing the UGC pay scales” to non-government and unaided Punjab and UT colleges. The call was given by joint coordination committee comprising many college and university associations.
