An associate of prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi pleaded guilty before a Delhi court today. Moving an application before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Seema Maini, 33-year-old Parminder accepted charges of possessing and selling counterfeit government stamps in and around Delhi. Parminder requested the court to be lenient and sentence him to a jail term, which he has already served during trial. The court will deliver the order on April 19. On March 15, 2004, Delhi Police had arrested Parminder and Vinod Kumar, on charges of being Telgi’s accomplices, from Vikaspuri in west Delhi. At the time, police had claimed to seize fake stamp papers worth Rs 5 lakh from them. During subsequent searches at their houses in south Delhi, fake stamp papers with face value of Rs 55 lakh were recovered.
