Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh have sent their replies to a showcause notice from the BCCI for their remarks about ex-coach Greg Chappell, but the ace Mumbai batsman is said to have offered no apologies.

While Tendulkar sent his response this morning, Yuvraj Singh said that he had submitted his reply to the Cricket Board two days ago but did not disclose the contents of his letter.

Tendulkar is said to have told some TV journalists off-camera that he had not apologised but explained his position.

“Yes, I have replied to the BCCI two days ago, but I don’t want to say anything more. I can’t reveal the contents of my reply,” the middle-order batsman said today.

BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla said “I have talked to him (Tendulkar) and he said that he has sent his reply in the morning. I can’t talk about the contents since we have not received the letter yet,” Shukla said.

However, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said he would issue a press statement tomorrow after talking to the Board. “I will talk to the BCCI office people and issue a media statement tomorrow at 12 noon,” Shah clarified.
