Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray has given a “clean chit” to controversial Hindi film Black Friday, saying that it did not “glorify” prime accused in the Mumbai serial blasts Dawood Ibrahim.

“Watch Black Friday if you want to watch the events of 1992-1993. There is no glorification of Dawood Ibrahim in the film. Therefore, there is no reason to boycott the film,” Thackeray was quoted as saying in the party mouthpiece Saamna.

“I was asked during my press conference a week ago about my reaction to the movie, but I had not watched it then. However, I watched the movie in parts over the last few days and I found that there was nothing objectionable in it,” Thackeray said.
