The silent parade

Well, if the Left is making a lot of noise over much of everything — from high politics to displeasure with US to rejection of Israel — the Government itself is going on without ado on certain issues. In the last weeks of this month, defence chiefs of four NATO countries, including Vice-Admiral Douglas Crowder, Commander of the US Seventh Fleet, will be in India. The others are the air chief of Germany, French Army Chief General Bruno Couche and the head of the Italian Defence Forces. To cap it all, in the last week of November, India will also host the Israeli Armoured Forces’ Halutsi Rudoy. And let us not forget that for the past year, pilots from the Israeli Defence Forces have been quietly getting their hands on Russian-origin aircraft during training at Indian airbases.
