Australia overcame a superb 121 by Yuvraj Singh to clinch a 47-run win over India in the third ODI on Friday, taking a 2-0 lead in the seven-match series.
Andrew Symonds lashed 89 from 67 balls to top-score for the second game in a row and help Australia to reach 290 for seven after electing to bat. India were 243 all out in reply.
Symonds hit five sixes and five fours and put on a rapid 123-run fourth-wicket partnership with Michael Clarke (59) after opening batsman Matthew Hayden contributed 60.
Yuvraj revived the innings after strike bowler Brett Lee struck two early blows to reduce it to 13 for three, adding 95 runs with Sachin Tendulkar (43) for the fourth wicket and then a racy 65 with skipper Mahendra Dhoni but both fell at crucial moments.
The left-hander hit three sixes and 12 fours to keep Indian hopes alive until he became the eighth batsman out.
The next game will be played in Chandigarh on Monday.
