VADODARA, Jan 24: The three day balmela organised by the Municipal School Board was inaugurated by Minister of State for Youth and Cultural Affairs Mahendra Trivedi here at Sayajibaug on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said the mela was aimed at providing an opportunity to children to introspect and develop the right approach in their thoughts and action.
Trivedi said the mela also aimed at creating an atmosphere for the children whereby they could develop an interest toward certain subjects. Speaking on the occasion, Director of the Education Board Kishan Sheth said, the mela was an attempt to educate children. He said children could be taught various subjects, especially science, through games and the mela was a place of learning.
